Hello my name is Joey Poisson son of Josee Morin and I’ve been selected to play in the 2018 Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD) NH East-West High School All-Star Football Game.
It’s an honor and a privilege for me to be able to use my athletic talent to give back to the most important institution in my life and let me tell you why.
My journey with CHaD began when I was in utero. At a very early stage of my life it had been identified that I had Congenital Heart Defect(s). Once identified CHad took over my care and I wasn’t even born yet.
Form the time I was born and every 6 months after, I went to CHaD for services. At the age of 4 my condition took a turn for the worse where it was necessary that I have open heart surgery to fix the defects.
CHaD had been monitoring me and allowing me to grow for as long as they saw fit without invasive surgery, all the while knowing that there would come a time that surgery would be inevitable.
They have literally saved my life. Although the journey was difficult I am a survivor and this is due to CHaD.
I have been blessed and am now living a very healthy life. I continue to be monitored by a CHaD cardiologist and will be for the rest of my life but that is nothing compared to the alternative.
Please support my efforts to help the kids and programs at CHaD!
Thank you Joey Posson
